Homemaker

You like to think

I do well as a homemaker

Considering

It’s not what I’m made for.

I am simply not one of the useful ones:

My seams are clumsy.

I have no gift

For creating new meals.

I cannot make tidy.

But

If  home is where the heart beats strongest,

Mine is painted with smooth keystrokes.

I am not one of the simply useful ones:

My seams are graceful,

Used to bind words.

I have a gift

For creating new laughter.

I can make tidy expression

Of messy truth.

I do well as a homemaker

Considering

It’s what I’m made for.

I like to think.

  3. Love it. Still trying to figure out what my own skills are at home — my job seems to fit much more naturally — but you’ve helped me realize I need to think more creatively :)
